LONDON, MOSCOW & MCLEAN, Va. - Hilton Worldwide has today announced the signing of a management agreement with Otel LLC to open a Hilton Garden Inn hotel in Samara, Russia. Scheduled to open in 2012, the Hilton Garden Inn Samara will become the sixth Hilton property in the country, and the second to join the award winning mid-market brand.

Welcoming today’s announcement, Patrick Fitzgibbon Senior Vice President Development for Hilton Hotels, said: “There is significant appetite from hotel owners and developers in Russia for a contemporary yet affordable, focussed service product and our Hilton Garden Inn offers the perfect fit. Following the success of the brand’s debut in Perm last year, we know there is strong growth potential for Hilton Garden Inn, especially in Russia’s regional centres where there is a real need for quality, internationally branded accommodation.”

When it opens, Hilton Garden Inn Samara will offer 195 modern rooms, all featuring the brand’s key signature offerings including the Garden Sleep System® bed, ergonomic Mirra® chair by Herman Miller, a 24-hour business centre and complimentary high speed Wi-Fi Internet access. A stylish lobby and reception area will feature a lounge area and bar, as well as the Hilton Garden Inn 24-hour Pavilion Pantry® which provides a selection of food and beverage options. A contemporary restaurant will also offer made-to-order breakfast, lunch and dinner, as well as evening room service. For business guests Hilton Garden Inn Samara will have two flexible meetings rooms and 24 hour business centre facilities.

Located on the intersection between Galaktionovskaya Street and Krasnoarmeyskaya Street, Hilton Garden Inn Samara will be close to the city’s main historical, cultural and administrative centre as well as its fast-growing business district. The city’s central train station and port are a short walk away from the property.

Situated approximately 1,000 km south east of Moscow, Samara is the country’s sixth largest city. With a population of over one million, the city is located on the River Volga and is one of Russia’s fastest developing cities.

The company currently has two properties in Russia – Hilton Moscow Leningradskaya and Hilton Garden Inn Perm – with a further three Doubletree by Hilton properties expected to open in Novosibirsk, Perm and Sochi by 2011.
